Spice Girls Reunite For Tour
スパイス・ガールズ、ツアーで再び再結成
All five original members of the girl power group The Spice Girls are back and gearing up to go back on tour.
ガールパワーでおなじみスパイス・ガールズ、オリジナルメンバーの5人が集まって、ツアーを再開する準備をしている。
The group announced on Thursday that they have reunited for 11 concerts and will begin touring in December and run through January.
グループは木曜日に11個のコンサートのために再結成して、12月から1月まで続くツアーを開始すると発表。
This will be their first tour since breaking up in 2001, and their first with all five original members. Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell quit the group in 1998 to pursue a solo career.

"Obviously it's nostalgic. But equally, if new fans want to come along, that's fantastic. I like to think our songs are universal and they are timeless," Halliwell said.

"Wannabe" was the first single off the Spice Girl's debut album was released in 1996 and was followed by a slue of No. 1 hits.

Their last album entitled, "Forever," released in 2000 without Halliwell did not do well on the charts.

Halliwell came together with her girls, Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham, Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm, Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown and Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton; now pregnant with her first child, for a photo shoot and to announce their tour plans.

All grown up into Spice Moms, Beckham said the tour would accommodate the group member's seven children. "Our priority is going to be our families. We want to have fun. That's one of the many reasons for this, for our children to see what we used to do," Beckham, who has three sons with her soccer star husband David Beckham, said.

The group has planned shows in Los Angeles, on Dec. 7; Las Vegas, on Dec. 8; New York, on Dec. 11; London, on Dec. 15; Cologne, Germany, on Dec. 20; Madrid, Spain, on Dec. 23; Beijing, on Dec. 23 Hong Kong, on Jan. 12; Sydney, Australia, on Jan. 17; Cape Town, South Africa, on Jan. 20; and Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Jan. 24.

"We wanted to say thank you to our fans. It just feels very right for us," Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm said.
